Althea has been working in the health and fitness industry since 1990. Her knowledge, energy and contagious enthusiasm have always made her one of the most popular class instructors. Her specialty: Pilates. In addition to teaching and training here at the club, she has also designed and conducted numerous instructor certification programs. As the founder and former owner of Defy Gravity Pilates, she has been profiled on KPIX, KGO and 7x7 Magazine.
Althea has extensive experience in physical rehabilitation, and truly looks forward to seeing her clients fully recover from past injuries and then achieve new levels of fitness. By focusing on how the body and mind functions as an integrated unit, postural weaknesses may be strengthened, functional movement may be restored and mental agility may endure.

Originally from the Bay Area, Annelaine moved back after nearly 10 years in Chicago to better enjoy the healthy, outdoor lifestyle of California. When working with clients, Annelaine's passion is finding what motivates each individual and then creating a challenging, fun fitness program around that.
When not working, Annelaine is most often found outside. A recreational runner, Annelaine has completed two half marathons this year, as well as many shorter distance races. Having recently transitioned over from a career in Human Resources, she notes, "I am thrilled to be able to share my knowledge and passion for a healthy lifestyle with others." |

David has always led an active life with a background in competitive gymnastics and professional ballet. Along with being an NSCA certified personal trainer, David also earned a diploma and certification from the National Personal Training Institute. He is also an ISMA certified pilates instructor and sports nutrition consultant.
David’s passion lies in training and motivating people to meet and exceed their fitness goals, pushing themselves to the limit and being completely psyched and proud of what their bodies can do. Whatever someone’s current fitness level is or is not doesn’t matter to David. "Just come in for a workout, give your best effort, and have a blast."

Glen is dedicated to helping you realize your potential through health and fitness. No matter what your fitness goals may be, or your current health status, he will tailor a program to meet your needs. His priority is to achieve results in a safe and fun environment, while empowering you to take control of your own health. He specializes in weight loss, muscle hypertrophy, sports specific training, core stabilization, and the correction of muscle imbalances which result from daily activities.
Glen uses his enthusiasm for fitness to teach early morning boot camps and to inspire young athletes at local high schools. He has an extensive background working with professional fighters and world class athletes. Of course, nutrition is a vital aspect of any fitness program, and after a career as a 5-star chef, Glen also will assist you in creating a nutritional plan.

Laura is committed to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. That includes a balance between training hard, working hard, eating right and remembering to relax and enjoy life every day. She has extensive experience in sports conditioning and
training. She was an All American on the Wheaton College Field Hockey team, and is the Coach of the San Francisco University High School Field Hockey team.
Laura is certified in mat pilates, she teaches outdoor boot camps, and is an avid biker and runner. Her sports background lends itself to her intense and efficient training style. She will safely guide you through functional training methods coupled with plyometrics and pilates. She will motivate and excite you into transforming your body and improving your health. Laura believes, "It is important to have fun while getting fit. What's the point if you can't enjoy it?"

Lenny was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, moved to San Francisco in ’99, and has over 8 years of experience as a personal trainer. He specializes in strength, conditioning, flexibility and balance for a wide range of sports, outdoor activities and meeting the physical demands of everyday life. His current clients range from the ages of 12-78.
Lenny’s goals are to help people be more active (and enjoy doing it) to enhance their quality of life, improve their capabilities in whatever sport or activity they participate in and develop a stronger mind-body connection. Whether it’s that first 5K or an Ultra, a Land’s End stroll or Half-Dome, one pushup or one hundred, Lenny is ready to help you achieve your goals and perhaps, uncover new ones.

Leo has over 8 years of experience as a personal trainer, physical therapy aide and ergonomics consultant in the Bay Area. He believes that mind and body should be integrated in the experience of working out. When you leave the club, you should feel physically invigorated and mentally focused.
He strives to create individualized programs and has a background in yoga-based exercises, rehabilitation and core stabilization.

Leslie's passion and excitement for health and fitness is extremely contagious. Born in Hawaii, she has spent her life bouncing between Oahu, Northern California, Aspen, Michigan, Manhattan, and Italy before happily settling down in San Francisco. She earned her BA in classical voice from the Manhattan School of Music. Along with music, weight management, health, and fitness have always been a focus of her energies. She thrives in motivating and inspiring people with an enthusiastic push to help her clients achieve their fitness goals.
Leslie is certified by the National Personal Training Institute as well as in Spin and Mat Pilates. She also teaches an early morning Boot Camp - rise and shine! Her training style incorporates functional and practical methods with high energy circuit training and an emphasis on core stability. She is not afraid to push you to your limits in a safe and fun manner.

Wade left New York for San Francisco and joined Pacific Heights Health Club in 2000. He currently spends his days helping patients in their physical therapy sessions at a neighborhood clinic.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Pleasant Hill, Wil has extensive experience in swimming, having coached for over 10 years. As an athlete, he also enjoys surfing, triathlons, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.
